Netsweeper is pleased to announce the Netsweeper 4.2 WAgent EA release. This release brings improvements for ChromeOS when the devices are managed. You can now push configuration via the Enterprise Storage Schema, and you will get the DeviceID or your configured AssetID sent as the Workstation Name to the Netsweeper system. Customers who are using ChromeOS with Enterprise Management are strongly recommended to upgrade to take advantage of these improvements.
If you are using the -U overrideUserName or the -G groupName option, you must upgrade your WebAdmin server to Netsweeper 6.4.4 EA release or above. The Agent Config Manager now has new options to process these arguments for security purposes. It is extremely important that customers upgrading understand the changes.
If you have any questions or concerns about planning an upgrade to this release, please contact Netsweeper Technical Support support@netsweeper.com.
