6.0.6 Release and Downloads (April 5, 2018)

Netsweeper 6.0 is now generally available. All customers are recommended to upgrade to Netsweeper 6.0.6 GA release. The 6.0.6 GA release includes security updates, bug fixes, and some performance improvements. We recommend that all customers plan to upgrade to the 6.0 GA release to take advantage of new functionality and all the stability and security improvements.

Some of the major features and bug fixes in 6.0 GA include:

NSProxy improvements
WebAdmin functionality updates
- DirSync and Request Log Files windows updated
- Table headers and footers updated and standardized across the WebAdmin
Improvements to Policy, Account and List Management functionality
Reporting: New 'Custom Reports' can be created using only one page
New APIs: Upgraded to API version 5 and new Group Management process APIs

20132	BUG: In some cases, after logging in, the Authentication Redirect login page would redirect back to the login page.
20232	SECURITY: A SysOp, with no access to a Shared List assigned to a Policy, could see and unassign the Shared List.
20270	BUG: Fixed possible NSProxy memory corruption.
20271	SECURITY: In the URL List Manager's Policies tab, a SysOp could see Groups and Policies they did not have access to and also unassign the Lists.
20272	BUG: Code audit of pxyconn.c file revealed potential stability concerns that were fixed. None of the identified issues were likely to be encountered with the default running configuration, so this was more of a preventative maintenance repair.
20298	SECURITY: A SysOp, with no access to a Shared List assigned to a Processing Step they have permission to, could see and unassign the Shared List.
20323	BUG: Multiple Local Lists could be created for a Policy.
20365	FEATURE: Without this cache of error page forged certificates, NSProxy could use 100% CPU at around 150 error pages/second. These errors can occur at high rates when denying applications like WhatsApp or when decryption is, by default, disabled.
20367	FEATURE: Enterprise Filter, Capture Modules, and Client Filter protocol patterns have been updated to support TLS 1.3 detection when not decrypting. This does not affect NSProxy deployments.
20382	BUG: Cache files could not be loaded after restarting nsproxy because they are owned by root on fresh install. The owner is now changed on restart.
