WAgent 3.2 Release (December 5, 2018)

The Netsweeper Workstation Agent BETA is now available! Netsweeper has been working diligently to enhance the Workstation agent and to resolve minor reported issues. Workstation Agent 3.2 is compatible with any Netsweeper installation, and introduces many exciting new features:

Optionally detect network changes and make another request (IP changes)
Optionally detect lock/unlock screen events to make another request (fast user switching)
Optional system tray or system bar icon to indicate current status
Installation package, MSI for Windows and PKG for MacOS
Optional Group name lookup from Active Directory (No Directory Sync required)
Agent now sends the Workstation-Name and a Workstation-ID that can be used in the future
Configurable interval that WAgent info is sent (IP, username, workstation, TTL)
Ability to enable the what is my filtered IP process --Disabled by default in 3.1 and above
The WAgent installer can be branded, allowing customers to easily install onto their Workstations

The new agent can work with all previous WebAdmin releases but will be greatly improved by new features and functionality in the 6.2 release.

20911	FEATURE: The Workstation Agent can optionally detect network changes, on a configurable interval, and update the Netsweeper WebAdmin to maintain per-user filtering when Agent Configuration has a Time to Live set.

20999	FEATURE: The Workstation Agent can now lookup the user's Active Directory group, and use this to place the filtered user in the appropriate group. This enables the Workstation Agent to provide per-user filtering without using Directory Sync on the NS Policy Server/WebAdmin.
21080	FEATURE: The WAgent now handles fast user switching by running when a user unlocks the workstation.
21082	FEATURE: The WAgent now sends the Workstation Name and the Workstation ID to the WebAdmin for processing purposes.
21083	FEATURE: The What Is My Filtered IP process is no longer run by default. This must be enabled when using an explicit proxy but is not recommended unless firewalls proxies or NAT devices are between the filtered workstation and the WebAdmin.
21099	FEATURE: The WAgent can now perform a Group Name lookup similar to Directory Sync. When a Group Prefix is specified, the groupname lookup process will occur and the group name passed to the WebAdmin for processing.

21130	BUG: The WAgent could block trying to connect to an invalid host for a long time causing large delays between failures. We now properly only wait for a few seconds when connecting to the WebAdmin and WhatIsMyFilteredIP host.
21137	FEATURE: WAgent zip release packages have been added.
21138	FEATURE: IPv6 is turned off by default. A new -6 option has been added to enable IPv6 address assignments
21145	FEATURE: The -h for help messages has been added as well as version OS information.

21162	FEATURE: WAgent User-Agent field now includes the brand name. WebAdmin in 6.2.2 will add the Workstation Name, ID, and the User-Agent into the comment field of the Client added to the WebAdmin.
